The College of Arts and Humanities offers a minor in African-American Studies, which gives students the opportunity to explore the African American experience from a multidisciplinary perspective. The program is designed to enhance and complement the student’s major area of study. The minor incorporates courses from many different disciplines including Music, Fine Arts, History, English, Foreign Languages, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Film, and Theater. The program’s interdisciplinary approach emphasizes the artistic and intellectual traditions of African Americans, and is dedicated to developing expertise and knowledge of the black experience in the African Diaspora.
