The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Medicine was established in 2006 by the Florida Legislature and the Florida Board of Governors to increase opportunities for medical education in Florida, address the nationwide growing shortage of physicians, and provide economic benefits to Central Florida and the State. The College of Medicine will offer a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree program beginning Fall 2009.
