The mission of this University-wide interdisciplinary academic center, housed in the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences, College of Medicine, is to establish vibrant research and training programs under the general theme, Molecular and Genomic Bases of Diseases and Therapeutics. Center research is focused in four areas: cancer, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease and neurodegenerative disease.
