Sophomore and Second Year Center
The Sophomore and Second Year Center has been developed to guide students toward declaration of a major, retention to the next year, and eventual graduation from the University of Central Florida. The center has primary responsibility for connecting sophomores and second year students to campus resources, academic advising, career development, academic support services, and transition assistance to the appropriate college advising office or department.
The center also provides advising support to undeclared (no major) students after their first year at UCF; accelerated FTIC’s (first time in college students entering UCF with 45 or more college credits earned from AP, IB, CLEP, and/or dual enrollment courses); and sophomores and second year freshmen who are changing their majors or need assistance in transitioning to the appropriate college advising support office.
